I started researching wood fired ovens so that I can finalize the floorplan and start digging. I realized that the 36″x48″ spot I had set aside for the oven is WAY too small. According to http://www.fornobravo.com/forum (which is an excellent resource for WFO’s) I need a spot about 65″x78″. So I need to get creative and make this fit because I am set on building one. Any ideas of where I can fit it?
All calculation for the roof and the deck are based upon:
- Deck loading of 40 psf live load and 15 psf dead load for a total of 55 psf.
- Deck under bar will require a 6,000 lbf load distributed over a 120 ft² area (50 psf) raising the load requirement to 105psf
- Roof Loading of 10 psf live load and 10 psf dead load for a total of 20 psf.
- 2,000 psf soil
- l/360 for the deck
- l/180 for the roof
